— Automate routine as much as possible (Ansible roles);
— Proactively monitor and tune for performance;

— Serve as DB master in DevOps and share DB wisdom to everyone.

Essential professional experience:

— 2 years of administering and designing PostgreSQL databases;
— Understanding of its server architecture, extensions, concepts, features, and high-availability technologies;
— Understanding of relational and dimensional database theory and concepts;
— Practical hands-on experience with database administration, backup and recovery, performance tuning and setup of HA solutions;
— Experience with database replication, hot stand-by, logical, trade-offs and table partitioning;
— Linux platform familiarity, system resource monitoring and tuning would be a good plus;
— Do not be afraid of a wide range of DB technologies and eager to learn and bring DBA to the new level.

Desirable skills:

— Familiar or master of DevOps toolkit managing DBs with Ansible & Terraform.
